The Classeq C500 JK983 is the water-softener version of Classeq's British-built undercounter utensil washer, aimed at kitchens in hard-water areas where limescale would otherwise build up inside a standard machine. The integrated softener protects the wash system, extending machine life and cutting the maintenance calls that limescale usually causes.

Beyond the softener, the specification matches the standard C500 format: a dedicated utensil programme handles up to five 1/1 gastronorm trays or chopping boards per cycle, with an extended seven-minute wash available for heavier loads. It runs on a 220-240V single-phase supply with 6.5kW rated input, using a drain pump, rinse booster and automatic detergent dosing to handle the cycle, plus click-in, click-out wash arms and moulded rails for quick strip-down cleaning.

The colour-coded display carries hygiene reminders, with an optional audible alarm and a Bluetooth app for customising settings, monitoring performance and pulling up manuals or videos on-site. Theoretical throughput runs to 8 utensil racks or 30 dish racks an hour, extending to 18 dinner plates per load with optional plate baskets. The stainless steel cabinet measures 850 x 600 x 610mm, weighs 58.6kg gross and carries 2 years parts and labour cover.
