Why this one earns its place
F865 Plus is a liquid detergent designed specifically for utensil washers rather than standard dishwashers, which puts it to work on the heaviest soiling a kitchen produces: containers, bowls, baking sheets, delivery trays, pots and pans. It handles glass, plastic, porcelain and stainless steel as well as cutlery, and it’s also rated for aluminium, provided anodised aluminium and silver items are checked first.
That combination, aluminium compatibility plus heavy-duty grease and dried-food removal, is what makes it a genuine fit for bakeries and butcher shops, where equipment comes back from production genuinely caked rather than lightly soiled from front-of-house service. Special ingredients built into the formula actively defoam during the wash cycle, which matters in utensil washers where a build-up of foam can interfere with spray arm coverage and rinse quality.
It stays odour-neutral throughout despite the concentrated, high-strength formulation needed to shift that level of soiling, so equipment doesn’t carry a chemical smell back into food production. Winterhalter recommends running it as part of their matched utensil washer, chemistry and water treatment system for the results it’s designed to hit.
Supplied at 8.6 litres as an unperfumed grey liquid, it’s classified as corrosive and ships under hazardous goods rules, which makes it non-returnable once despatched, so order with your usage rate in mind rather than as a trial quantity.

Read the label and the manufacturer’s safety data sheet — the pictograms tell you what you are holding.

Who could be harmed, and how badly? Judge likelihood against severity before anyone opens the cap.

Eliminate or substitute first, engineer and organise next — PPE is the last line, never the first.

Keep the controls working: check ventilation, dosing equipment and storage stay as they should be.

Everyone who uses it knows the hazards, the correct dilution and the PPE — before the first shift, not after.

Products and processes change. Reassess when they do, and keep the record that proves it.
Guidance summary only — the product label, the current safety data sheet and your own COSHH assessment remain the authority.
