Why this food warmer earns its place
Speed matters in a busy service. This Hatco warmer heats from above with a 500W infra-red element, enclosed in a metal shroud for even, gentle heat that keeps cooked food at safe temperatures—neither drying out nor cooling off. It's the answer for kitchens that need flexibility: move it where the service line runs that day, plug it in, and you're holding stock at the right temperature. Cooked-ahead items—curries, stews, braised vegetables, sauces—all benefit from overhead radiant heat rather than direct base heat, which can scorch the bottom.
The footprint is deliberate: 427 mm wide, 329 mm deep, 642 mm tall. Small enough to nestle into a corner or fit between other counter kit, but tall enough that staff aren't reaching down awkwardly to access the pan. The aluminium body with steel-plated finish is light (8 kg) and durable; moving it during service doesn't break your back. It accommodates one full-size 1/1 gastronorm pan—standard for any commercial kitchen—and the design prevents overcooking because infra-red heat from above won't burn the bottom of your product the way a warming base would.
At 230V, 610W, it's a modest draw on your circuit, making installation simple. And because it's portable, you can deploy it exactly where demand is highest—order counter, buffet line, catering staging area. The 2-year on-site warranty covers parts and labour. (Note: food pan not supplied, but any standard 1/1 GN pan will fit.)
