Why this heated display earns its place
The CED Kubus three-position assisted-service display delivers the same smart two-tier design as the larger four-position model, in a more compact footprint for smaller bakeries, delis and tight countertop spaces. The main well holds three full-size Gastronorm containers on an inclined stainless-steel surface, angled so customers can see the product and staff can reach in and serve without awkward stretching. Above that sits a heated midshelf at eye level with its own temperature control, giving you two independent display zones in minimal space.
Both zones are heated and controlled separately — you might use the well for the day's main product line and keep the midshelf stocked with slower-moving or specialty items at a different temperature. The stainless-steel well surface is deliberately chosen for pastry work; it sheds crumbs and residue more easily than glass and is the standard finish in working bakeries. The full-height front and side glass panels tilt forward on a locking hinge, giving complete access to the well from the operator side — no reaching across hot food or stretching awkwardly. During service, the glass locks closed to protect the display.
Both the well and midshelf have independent digital temperature controls and dimmer switches for the infrared heat lamps, set to 85°C for food-safety standards but adjustable for your product needs. At 2.9kW and 1.175m wide, this is the right size for a working bakery counter where space is tight but you still need proper hot-hold and display capability. Installation requires hard-wiring to a 20A circuit, but the unit comes ready to integrate into a countertop cutout.
