Why this ducting earns its place
In commercial kitchens with multiple hoods or prep areas, you often need secondary extraction routes that feed into a single main stack. A saddle piece lets you tap into the existing main duct with a branch connection while keeping the primary run intact and pressurised. This approach is faster and cleaner than cutting into an installed duct—and far more cost-effective than running a separate flue from the roof.
The 400mm saddle is pitched for medium-to-large extraction systems. The 45° branch outlet gives you flexibility in how you route the secondary duct—angling downward and away from the main run is straightforward, and you avoid the awkward bends that come from trying to turn a branch line around obstacles. The angle also helps trap heavier grease droplets, reducing maintenance compared to less-steep branch connections.
Saddle pieces are proven in high-volume environments where pressure consistency and minimal downtime matter. The internal junction is smoothly formed to maintain extraction efficiency without dead zones. At 1 kg, it's lightweight and manageable but rigid enough to hold position through vibration and thermal expansion over years of service.
