Why this upright fridge earns its place
The CW193 is Polar's G-Series upright gastronorm fridge, built to hold chilled stock at the back of a working kitchen. The cabinet gives 600 litres gross capacity, 397 litres net usable volume, three shelves and room for up to 10 x 2/1 GN pans at 100mm deep, so prepped trays, portioned stock and bought-in goods can all sit in a modular kitchen format.
The stable door splits top and bottom, so staff can open only the section they are reaching into and keep the rest of the cabinet closed through service. That is useful when fast-moving mise en place lives in the top half and slower stock stays lower down. Fan-assisted and static cooling hold the -2 to +5 °C chilled band, with a constant digital display for quick checks.
The build is commercial and practical: stainless steel exterior, aluminium interior, 60 mm insulation, lockable doors and lockable castors. It runs from a 230V supply with a 300 W rated input, uses R600a refrigerant with GWP 3, and is listed as energy class C at 1.59 kWh/24h.
