Why this upright fridge earns its place
The Polar G-Series PG592 is a single-door upright fridge for general commercial kitchen chilled storage, built to take large 2/1 gastronorm pans (sold separately) across four adjustable shelves. It's the direct successor to the popular G592, carried over on footprint and pan compatibility but rebuilt around a stronger energy rating.
Inside there's 428 litres of net usable capacity, held at -2 to +8°C by forced air cooling that keeps a consistent internal temperature and recovers quickly once the door's shut. Energy Class B at 390.6 kWh a year (EEI 29.8%) is the headline change from the outgoing model.
Construction is stainless steel throughout, with a lockable self-closing door, digital control panel and display, and energy-saving LED interior lighting. Automatic defrost and R600a refrigerant at Climate Class 5 keep performance consistent with minimal intervention, heavy-duty castors make positioning straightforward, and the fridge is backed by two years' parts and labour warranty. Gross weight is 106kg, drawing 220W on a 220-240V supply.
