Why this upright fridge earns its place
The PC006 is Polar's C-Series single-door upright fridge in stainless steel — the largest-capacity model in the C-Series range, positioned by Polar as suitable either as a primary fridge in less demanding kitchens or as backup capacity in busier sites that need extra chilled storage on standby. 2/1 gastronorm compatibility runs throughout the cabinet.
Four sturdy adjustable shelves hold 428 litres of net storage, each shelf independently adjustable to suit different ingredient heights. Temperature is held at +2°C to +5°C via digital thermostatic control, on fan-assisted and static cooling, with Energy Class A performance giving an EEI of 21.9% at 288.4kWh a year on a 200W input and 230V supply. It carries a climate class 4 rating and runs on R600a refrigerant.
The stainless steel exterior gives a professional, hygienic finish built for demanding commercial kitchens, with 60mm insulation reducing running costs and boosting performance. Maintenance is straightforward thanks to an easy-clean design with removable door seals, and the sturdy lockable door offers overnight security. Fixed rear castors make positioning and cleaning behind the unit simple. Temperature control runs through a digital display, defrost is manual, and it carries a 2-year parts and labour warranty at 90kg gross weight.
