Why this upright fridge earns its place
The Hoshizaki Advance CU264 is a single-door upright refrigerator built for commercial back-of-house use. It gives a kitchen a dedicated block of chilled storage behind one full-height door — somewhere to hold prepped mise en place, portioned stock and daily deliveries without eating into prep-line space. At 600 litres capacity (415 litres net) across four shelves and measuring 1975 mm tall by 654 mm wide, it fits a tight back-of-house footprint while holding enough stock to supply a section through a shift. It accepts 2/1 gastronorm pans, so you can use standard prep containers without adaptation.
In daily service the single door keeps the cold contained during quick, repeated access, and the full-height interior takes shelving you can arrange around your rotation so oldest stock stays to the front. Rated at 140 W input power and Energy Class C (548 kWh/year), it runs economically. It is built as a workhorse for sections that open the door dozens of times a shift, with stainless steel construction and rounded interiors for durability and HACCP compliance.
As a freestanding upright it drops into a back-of-house line-up and sits alongside other units, so you can build out a storage wall (the right-hinged door suits kitchens where the left-side model would swing into a neighbouring unit). The cabinet runs on R290 refrigerant (GWP 3) and carries a 5-year parts and labour warranty.
