Why this upright fridge earns its place
The EcoPro G3 Short is Foster's answer to the kitchen that can't take a full-height upright — a basement prep room, a low suspended ceiling, a mobile catering unit — without giving up real storage. It's a single-door fridge holding 440 litres net (550 litres gross), built to pass through a standard doorway and move on 80mm swivel castors, so it goes where a conventional cabinet can't.
Cooling is fan-assisted for even distribution through the cabinet, and the numbers back up the "Eco" name: Energy Class A at 321.2 kWh/year consumption, an EEI of 24.01%, and Climate Class 5 certification, meaning it holds its set temperature reliably even in a hot, busy kitchen. Foster's own figures put running costs around a third lower than the previous EcoPro G2 generation on the same footprint.
Build is stainless steel exterior with an aluminium interior, running on R290 — the low-GWP natural refrigerant — at 230V. The award-winning +stayclear condenser is designed to keep performance and reliability up over the life of the unit, and the controller sits at eye line for easy reading rather than buried low on the cabinet. Foster backs the cabinet with 2 years parts and labour cover.
