Why this fresh meat fridge earns its place
The CAR900 is a two-door upright refrigerator for chilled storage in a working kitchen. It gives you 900 litres of gross capacity (660 litres net) behind two hinged solid doors, with six shelves to divide and organise stock through service. The stainless steel interior and exterior are built for daily commercial handling and easy wipe-down cleaning.
It holds a -2 to +8 °C band for chilled and fresh produce, with automatic off-cycle defrost that keeps the evaporator clear without manual work. The R600a system draws 400 W and the cabinet is rated climate class 4, so it holds temperature in the warmer ambient of a busy back-of-house area. Energy use is 1569.5 kWh a year at energy class C — about £392 a year at 25p/kWh.
The cabinet measures 1200 × 745 × 1950 mm (W×D×H) and weighs 145 kg gross, 135 kg net; it ships packed at 1240 × 774 × 2030 mm, so check doorway height and access before delivery. It runs from a standard 13 A supply on 220–240 V, so no special electrical provision is needed, and carries a 130 g R600a charge.
