Why this triple door saladette fridge earns its place
The Blizzard HBC3EN is a triple-door refrigerated prep counter built for topping-based service at volume — a full-length saladette with a raised collar along the back that accepts GN1/3 containers up to 150mm deep, sitting above a 300mm-deep working area. At 1795 × 700 × 1075mm, it's the larger sibling of the HBC2EN, with 417 litres of chilled cabinet storage below the prep surface across three doors.
Three adjustable shelves organise stock in the cabinet, and an even, ducted air distribution system keeps temperature consistent through the storage compartments and the topping well above. Cooling is ventilated, controlled through a Dixell digital controller, and on a standard 13-amp supply the unit is rated at 350 kWh a year — reflecting the load of keeping an open topping well in range across a full-length counter.
Build is stainless steel exterior and interior, rated climate class 4 and running at 42dB. All three doors are self-closing with a dwell position for hands-free loading and fitted with replaceable gaskets, with internal corners rounded for cleaning. The refrigerant is R290, defrost is automatic, and the 146kg unit sits on lockable heavy-duty castors, available with a 2 or 3 drawer option in place of the doors.
