Why this single door saladette fridge earns its place
The Saladette 1 Door is a single-door refrigerated prep counter — 435 mm wide, 700 mm deep, 870 mm tall — with a chilled base cabinet and a working surface above. The components a cook assembles stay in reach and stay cold at +2 to +8 °C. It sits at the garnish and cold-prep end of a busy line, where toppings, dressings and made-to-order fillings need to be held at temperature without anyone walking to a separate fridge. The single-door format keeps it compact (36 kg) enough for one station or a tight back-of-house run.
In service the workflow is straightforward: prep and plate at the top, draw restock from the 109-litre cabinet below, and wipe the unit down between covers. A single door limits cold loss each time it is opened, which helps the cabinet recover through a busy lunch. The 35 mm insulation and automatic defrost keep steady temperatures without manual work. Keep the airflow paths inside the cabinet clear so chilled air circulates evenly around stock, and give the condenser a regular clean so the unit keeps pulling temperature reliably.
For siting, stand the counter on a level floor with clearance around the condenser so it can breathe, and plan restocking access to the door swing. It runs quietly at 48 dB(A) and off a standard 230 V supply at 0.17 kW — efficient enough for a long shift. Check the footprint and your doorway clearance against the external dimensions in the spec table before delivery. If you need a hand matching the unit to your bench run, Craven Cooling can talk it through.
