Why this counter fridges/freezer earns its place
The Williams VRWCD1 is a single Chef's Drawer unit built to put bulk fresh or frozen storage right at the pass or a prime cooking station, rather than making a chef walk to a walk-in mid-service. At a low-level height that tucks under a worktop, it holds a single 2×1 GN drawer (150mm maximum depth) and suits pubs, steakhouses and catering kitchens where floor space is tight and speed of access matters more than raw volume.
Net capacity is 46 litres, and the unit is switchable between chilled and frozen set points, so the same drawer can run as fridge or freezer storage depending on the week's menu. It draws 230V and carries an Energy Class D rating at 1609.7 kWh a year, with an EEI of 59.8% and a Climate Class 4 build, meaning it's rated to hold its set point in a proper working kitchen environment rather than a cool back room.
The drawer runs on R290, a natural refrigerant with a low environmental footprint, backed by high-performance helium leak testing at build. Stainless steel inside and out, it seals with magnetic balloon gaskets for a full tight seal, and CoolSmart control handles the day-to-day temperature management. Precision-injected polyurethane insulation, low GWP and zero ODP, keeps running costs down, and it's built to operate efficiently up to 43°C ambient — a genuine line kitchen, not a test bench. It comes with a 2-year warranty.
