Why this drawer fridge earns its place
The UC5480 is a low-height refrigerated Gastronorm counter built for prep-line kitchens where bench height and reach matter. At 670 mm high it sits under a worktop or serves as a standalone prep station, holding 350 litres of net storage behind a stainless steel exterior and interior. The full 2230 mm body gives a working run of chilled storage directly under the section, keeping mise en place cold and within arm's reach through service.
It holds +2 to +10 °C, a general chilled band suited to prepped ingredients and cold storage. Ventilated cooling keeps the temperature even across the interior, and defrost is automatic, so there is no manual routine to schedule. An electronic controller sets and monitors the temperature, and the unit runs at 42 dB. On its verified 978.2 kWh a year, running cost works out at about £245 a year at 25p/kWh, and it carries energy class C.
External dimensions are 2230 × 700 × 670 mm (W×D×H); packed it ships at 2260 × 750 × 720 mm, worth checking against doorways and lift access on delivery. It runs from a standard 13-amp supply at 220-240 V, drawing 300 W, and uses R600a refrigerant with a 95 g charge. Net weight is 150 kg, so plan the siting and any positioning help before it arrives, and the internal usable space measures 1772 × 530 × 389 mm.
