Why this counter fridge earns its place
The Polar FA440 is a refrigerated counter fridge with six drawers, built for prep lines that want chilled ingredients organised and instantly to hand. Drawers pull the stock out to the chef rather than making them reach into a cabinet, and each drawer holds 1 x 1/1 GN pan up to 65 mm deep.
Six drawers let you separate proteins, garnishes and prepped components across the run, while the stainless steel work surface over them doubles as prep space. The cabinet is listed at 240 litres gross and 84 litres net, so it is best read as organised section storage rather than bulk coldroom replacement.
It holds a +2 to +8 °C chilled band with static cooling, a fully automatic controller and a constant digital display. The stainless steel interior and exterior, 60 mm insulation and under-mounted compressor/condenser suit a kitchen line where worktop space and refrigerated access both matter.
