Why this stainless lid topping unit earns its place
The Blizzard TOP2000EN is a gastronorm topping unit that sits on top of a prep counter, giving a chilled holding surface for the ingredients staff reach for constantly through service. The hinged stainless steel lid lifts to reveal space for GN 1/3 containers up to 150mm deep across the full 2000mm width, keeping toppings, fillings and garnish at temperature between orders instead of sitting out on the worktop. The larger GN 1/3 pan size and the extra width suit a busier prep run where more than one person is working the same station.
Cooling is static, on R600a refrigerant, controlled through a Dixell digital unit that's simple to check and adjust mid-service. Consumption is rated at 110 kWh a year on a standard 13-amp plug-and-play supply, so it drops straight onto an existing circuit. Climate class 4 covers ambient kitchen conditions up to 30°C, and defrost is manual, needing a periodic switch-off to clear ice from the coil.
Construction is stainless steel inside and out for the repeated wipe-down a topping unit needs through a shift. The hinged lid has a lock position, so it can be propped open during prep and dropped shut between orders to protect the GN pans from splashes and steam. At 2000 x 395 x 281mm and 92kg gross, and running at 46dB, it sits flush on a matching prep counter with the depth to take the larger GN 1/3 size.
