Why this glass topping unit earns its place
This is a refrigerated topping shelf that sits above a prep counter or service line, keeping GN1/3 gastronorm pans of garnishes, toppings and cold ingredients chilled and on display within arm's reach. It takes the pans that would otherwise mean a trip to the fridge and puts them at the point of assembly, so a line can plate and finish without breaking the cold chain. Both the exterior and interior are SS201 stainless steel for wipe-down hygiene through a busy shift.
In use it holds +2 to +8 °C using static cooling and an electronic controller, with manual defrost. It runs at 40 dB, quiet enough for a front-of-house prep area, and is rated at 1069.5 kWh a year — about £267 a year at 25p/kWh. Keeping toppings at a food-safe chill temperature at the pass supports your HACCP records without a separate under-counter unit.
The unit draws 122 W at 220-240 V, 50 Hz and runs from a standard 13-amp supply, so no special electrical provision is needed. It uses R600a refrigerant with a 45 g charge. Net weight is 37 kg and gross weight 42.5 kg for handling and delivery; full internal dimensions and packed dimensions are listed in the specification table on this page for planning the counter space and access route.
