Why this glass topping unit earns its place
The Combisteel 7950.5123 is a refrigerated glass topping unit — a full 2-metre chilled holding counter that sits on the service line and keeps prepared ingredients cold and within reach during assembly. It suits salad, garnish, pizza and sandwich stations where staff dress plates or bases straight from the pans, holding ten 1/4 GN pans in one continuous line.
Through service it holds gastronorm pans beneath a glass cover, so ingredients stay chilled at +2 to +8 °C and on show while protected from the pass. The stainless steel body is built to run continuously across a busy shift, holding stock at safe service temperatures between prep and plate, with automatic defrost to keep the system trouble-free.
Built in stainless steel 18/8 and weighing 70 kg, the unit is designed to sit on top of an existing prep counter or servery rather than replace it. Its shallow 335 mm depth fits behind a typical counter edge, and at just 0.11 kW power draw it runs efficiently even across a long service — more dependent on your electricity tariff than the equipment itself.
