Why this four door counter fridge earns its place
The Blizzard HBC4NU is a four hinged-door counter refrigerator built to sit at working height along a prep line, giving four separately accessed cold compartments instead of one large cabinet. It's the format busy kitchens reach for when different sections — starters, mains, garnish, dessert — each need their own door rather than staff opening one cabinet repeatedly through service. Stainless steel inside and out, it's built for continuous commercial use rather than light back-of-house storage, and its 2230 x 700 x 850mm footprint (W×D×H) sits comfortably under a standard worktop run.
Gross capacity runs to 553 litres across the four doors, each fitted with one adjustable GN1/1 shelf, so gastronorm pans drop straight in without adapters. Cooling is ventilated — air is pushed round the cabinet by a ducted system rather than left to circulate passively — which keeps temperature more even door to door and recovers faster after service opens and closes them repeatedly. It runs on a standard 13-amp supply, draws 345 kWh a year, and carries an Energy Class D rating, with automatic defrost so ice doesn't need manual clearing.
Build quality is aimed at hard daily use: stainless steel exterior and interior, internal corners rounded for cleaning down without traps, and a Dixell electronic controller for accurate, glanceable temperature control. Each door is self-closing with a dwell position, so it can be propped open briefly during loading without swinging shut, and gaskets are replaceable rather than fixed, extending the working life of the seal. It's rated to climate class 4, runs on R290 refrigerant, and sits at 42dB — quiet enough for front-of-house-adjacent kitchens. Gross weight is 185kg, and it moves on heavy duty castors.
