Why this double door counter fridge earns its place
The Blizzard HBC2CR is a triple glass-door refrigerated counter — the display version of Blizzard's counter fridge range, with anodised aluminium-framed glass doors instead of solid steel so chilled stock stays visible without opening up. It measures 1360 × 700 × 950mm with a full-width stainless steel upstand, and at 417 litres gross across three doors gives real capacity for a servery counter or a self-service chilled display.
Three adjustable shelves sit behind the glass, and an even, ducted air distribution system keeps all three compartments at consistent temperature rather than letting the section nearest the door drift warmer through repeated opening. Cooling is ventilated, driven by a Dixell digital controller for accurate hold, and the unit runs on a standard 13-amp supply, rated at 230 kWh a year — a reasonable figure given glass doors carry more heat gain than solid ones.
Build is stainless steel exterior and interior, rated climate class 4 and running at 42dB. The glass doors are fitted with replaceable gaskets, and internal corners are rounded to make cleaning behind the display straightforward. The refrigerant is R290, defrost is automatic, and the whole 154kg unit sits on lockable heavy-duty castors so it can be repositioned or pulled out for cleaning behind.
