Why this double door counter freezer earns its place
The Blizzard LBC2 is a double-door counter freezer built to sit at worktop height in a prep or servery run, with a rear stainless steel coved 100mm upstand that doubles as a splashback where it meets the wall. At 1360mm wide, 700mm deep and 950mm high — taller than a standard counter to accommodate that upstand — it holds genuine freezer temperature rather than chiller cold.
Gross capacity is 282 litres across 2 adjustable GN1/1 shelves, with even air distribution through a ducted cooling system keeping temperature consistent across the cabinet. Energy consumption runs at 520 kWh a year, rated Energy Class E, and refrigerant is R290. At 42 dB it's quiet enough to run alongside fridge counters without adding noticeably to kitchen noise, and ventilated cooling with a Dixell digital controller and automatic defrost keep it running hands-off day to day.
Construction is stainless steel inside and out, with rounded internal corners for easier cleandown and self-closing doors with a dwell position so they don't sit open mid-service. Lockable heavy-duty castors come as standard, so a 133kg unit can still be repositioned for cleaning or reconfiguring a counter run, and replaceable door gaskets cover the main long-term wear point.
