Why this upright freezer earns its place
The T862 is Williams' Jade LJ1-SA, a single-door upright freezer designed for the toughest of commercial kitchen environments — Williams builds it for outstanding performance even when ambient temperatures reach 43°C. It's a straightforward single-door format holding 467 litres net, the kind of unit that runs quietly in the background of a busy school kitchen or a high-end restaurant service without needing a second thought.
It holds -22 to -18°C and is rated Energy Class C at 1635.2 kWh/year, with an EEI of 43.33% and a climate class 5 rating that keeps it performing efficiently right up to that 43°C ambient ceiling — intelligent, environmentally conscious design that Williams has built through the whole cabinet rather than bolted on. Cooling is via an air-cooled condensing unit, and the cabinet is fitted with 3 shelves suited to 2/1 GN pans (sold separately), giving structured, accessible frozen storage rather than one open cavity.
Build is foodsafe, easy-clean stainless steel exterior with an aluminium interior, radiused interior corners for cleaning, and a full-length integral 'easy grab' door handle. The door is self-closing and barrel-locked with a magnetic balloon gasket giving a 100% tight seal, backed by 80mm precision-injected high-density polyurethane insulation with low GWP and zero ODP. R290 refrigerant runs the system, controlled through Williams' capacitive touch CoolSmart controller with an easy-wipe, IP55-rated display. It comes with a 2-year parts and labour warranty and weighs 150kg gross.
