Why this single door commercial upright freezer earns its place
The TEFCOLD UF400S is a single-door upright freezer that stacks 400 litres gross and 340 litres net of frozen storage onto a 600 mm-wide footprint. Six fixed freezing shelves behind one hinged solid door give a working freezer that holds bulk frozen stock without spreading across the floor, with a stainless steel (SS430) exterior for a busy back-of-house.
It runs between -24 and -10 °C on static cooling with an electronic controller, holding frozen stock at a safe temperature through service. Defrost is manual, so build it into the cleaning routine. The cabinet is rated to climate class 4 for warmer kitchen ambients and runs at 40 dB. At 839.5 kWh a year that works out at about £210 a year at 25p/kWh.
The cabinet measures 600 × 585 × 1855 mm externally, so it holds capacity on a narrow floor plan; at a packed size of 690 × 650 × 2050 mm, check doorway and ceiling heights on the delivery route. It runs from a standard 13 A supply on 220–240 V and uses R600a refrigerant with a 90 g charge. Net weight is 80 kg, with a white ABS interior.
