Why this single door commercial upright freezer earns its place
This is a single-door upright commercial freezer built for back-of-house frozen storage. It holds 429 litres of frozen ingredients and portioned stock behind one insulated door, standing full-height on a 680 × 710 mm footprint. A tall, self-contained cabinet uses floor space efficiently in a storeroom or prep area, keeping stock organised and at eye level rather than requiring a chest-freezer dig.
In use it maintains the -15 to -20 °C frozen band on shelves behind a single door, so stock stays sorted and reachable. Opening one door at a time keeps cold loss down, and the upright format makes stock rotation and stock-takes straightforward. The interior is lit by an LED, and a digital controller holds temperature through the shift.
It is a freestanding upright cabinet built from stainless steel, weighing 128 kg. Install it against a wall or in a line of storage — no plumbing to plan. The 60 mm insulation and R290 refrigerant system run at 0.45 kW on a 230 V supply. Leave clearance around the unit for airflow so the condenser can shed heat, and site it away from direct heat sources to help it hold temperature steadily.
