Why this single door commercial upright freezer earns its place
The RF500 is a stainless steel single-door upright freezer built for frozen storage in a working kitchen. It gives you 450 litres gross and 429 litres net behind one hinged solid door, with three white wire shelves that take Gastronorm stock and re-space to suit whatever you are freezing. The full stainless interior and exterior stand up to a busy back-of-house and wipe down between shifts.
It holds -24 to -10 °C for proper frozen storage under an electronic controller, using static cooling. Defrost is manual, so build a defrost into your cleaning routine rather than relying on an automatic cycle. At 42 dB it is quiet for a freezer of this size, and it is rated climate class 4 for warm kitchen ambients. On energy it carries an energy class D label and uses 1868.8 kWh a year, about £467 a year to run at 25p/kWh, and it uses R290 refrigerant.
The cabinet measures 680 × 700 × 1900 mm, so at 680 mm wide it passes through a standard single doorway on delivery, with a packed size of 715 × 745 × 2135 mm to plan the route for. It weighs 145 kg packed and 135 kg installed, runs from a standard 13 amp socket at 220-240 V, and uses a 100 g charge of R290.
