Why this single door commercial upright freezer earns its place
The BLIZZARD LS60 is a single hinged-door upright freezer built for kitchens that need one solid block of frozen storage rather than a split-door format. At 775 x 750 x 1850 mm (W×D×H) it stands full height and holds 550 litres gross across five fixed-position shelves — badged the 533 to reflect its usable litreage. It's the straightforward choice for restaurants, pubs and caterers that want dependable upright freezer capacity without extra features to pay for or go wrong.
Cooling is static rather than fan-assisted, which keeps the mechanics simple and the price down, at the cost of some temperature evenness compared with ventilated models — worth noting when loading it near capacity. A Dixell digital controller handles temperature control, and Energy Class B consumption runs to a modest 220 kWh a year. Climate Class 4 rates it for a normal working kitchen environment.
Build is 304 stainless steel on the exterior with a white, easy-clean ABS interior — durable outside, straightforward to wipe down inside. The door is reversible to suit either side of an installation, fitted with a replaceable gasket and an integrated door lock as standard, with a full-height integrated handle. It runs on R290, a natural hydrocarbon refrigerant with negligible global warming potential. Gross weight is 103 kg.
