Why this upright freezer earns its place
The Foster Xtra XR600L is the frozen-storage counterpart to the XR600H fridge — a single-door upright freezer built for kitchens that need dedicated frozen capacity alongside their chilled storage rather than trying to share one cabinet across both. It suits restaurants, takeaways and catering operations running a steady frozen stock of proteins, prepared items and desserts.
It holds -21 to -18°C, a genuine deep-freeze range rather than a chill-adjacent compromise, across 440 litres net volume on three adjustable 2/1 GN shelves. Fan-assisted cooling keeps that temperature even through the cabinet, and full automatic operation — including automatic defrost — means there's no manual cycle to manage. Running costs sit at 2609.8 kWh a year, Energy Class D with an EEI of 71.63%; freezers inherently draw more than fridges to hold sub-zero temperatures, and the 7222W input power reflects that deeper cooling load. It's rated Climate Class 5 for harder-working kitchen environments.
Stainless steel exterior and aluminium interior keep it in line with the rest of the Xtra range for cleaning and durability, with a removable door gasket for proper hygiene maintenance rather than a fixed seal that traps residue. The door is reversible for flexible installation, and castors mean it can go where it's needed without heavy lifting. Refrigerant is R290, and it carries Foster's standard 2 years parts and labour warranty.
