Why this upright freezer earns its place
The Foster EcoPro G3 EP700L2 10/145 is a two half-door upright freezer — the same 600-litre-class cabinet as Foster's single-door freezers, but split into two independently opening half doors so staff can reach the top or bottom section without exposing the whole interior to warm kitchen air. It holds -21°C to -18°C, a genuine deep-freeze band, and suits a busy pass or prep line where the freezer gets opened constantly through service rather than once or twice a shift.
Inside, three 2/1 GN shelves carry the anti-tilt system standard across the EcoPro G3 range, each rated to 40kg, and Foster's Circulair I air-distribution technology keeps cold air moving evenly through both halves of the cabinet. Net capacity is 480 litres. Cooling is fan-assisted on a 230V supply, with the Fuzzy Logic II controller and 'e' mode managing compressor cycling against demand — the half-door design itself is one of the biggest factors in keeping that demand down, since only one section loses cold air at a time. The cabinet is Energy Class B rated at 1779.8 kWh a year with an EEI of 42.35%, and climate class 5 rated for ambient conditions up to +40°C.
Build is stainless steel exterior with an aluminium interior, on R290 natural refrigerant — HFC-free and not exposed to the phase-down rules squeezing older gases. Each half door is self-closing with a 90° dwell for loading, fitted with a thermal-break frame and hot-gas door heater to control condensation, and the touch-sensitive control panel stays hidden until lit. The cabinet sits on 80mm castors, the front two braked, and comes with 2 years on-site parts and labour cover.
