Why this under counter freezer earns its place
The Foster CW731-SE is a single-door undercounter freezer designed to sit beneath a worktop in a tight commercial kitchen. It puts frozen storage at the point of use — under the pass or prep bench — with 149 litres gross capacity across two shelves at -21 to -18°C, so a kitchen can keep working frozen stock to hand without walking to an upright or walk-in mid-service.
Day to day it works as part of the prep run: one hinged door of frozen holding at counter height, quick to reach and quick to close during a busy shift. The 830 x 605 x 640mm external size suits crowded spaces, and the 69kg gross weight is worth checking against the delivery route before the unit arrives. Stainless steel outside, aluminium inside and 50mm insulation give it the practical build expected on a back-of-house line.
The undercounter format is made to tuck into a worktop line, which keeps floor space clear and the counter usable above it. Foster's source text calls out front-breathing refrigeration for fitting into crowded spaces, magnetic gaskets for airtight preservation and microprocessor controls for temperature control. It runs from a 230V supply with 197W rated input, uses R600a refrigerant and static cooling, and should still be installed with the route, aperture and service access checked before delivery.
