Why this chest freezer earns its place
The Foster FCF405LX is a commercial chest freezer. It is built for bulk frozen storage — holding 427 litres of stock that does not need to sit on the line, from bulk-buy to made-ahead product, in a single top-opening cabinet with a fan-assist cooling system.
As a back-of-house freezer it is made to run continuously and keep a full load frozen at -21 to -18 °C. It draws 230 W at 230 V and uses R600a refrigerant, running continuously in back-of-house conditions. A regular frost-free cycle keeps buildup clear and maintains efficiency.
It needs floor space and clearance around it to shed heat, so plan its siting before delivery. The cabinet sits 860 mm high, 1300 mm deep and 730 mm wide, and weighs 65 kg. Allow clearance above for the lid to open fully and airflow around the sides.
