Why this chest freezer earns its place
The Foster CD834 is a stainless-lid chest freezer from Foster's FCF range, holding 504 litres. It gives a commercial kitchen or store a large top-opening freezer for bulk frozen stock, whole cuts and prepped batches held in volume.
As a chest format, it stores frozen goods top-down, so stock is loaded and lifted from above rather than through a front door. The stainless lid gives a hard-wearing top surface suited to a working kitchen and can even be used as additional work space. The lid holds position when opened, so access for filling or cleaning is effortless — no need to prop or hold it open.
The cabinet measures 860 mm wide by 1500 mm deep by 730 mm tall, with an internal usable space of 701 × 1386 × 536 mm. It weighs only 80 kg, making it moveable if kitchen layout changes. It runs on a 230V supply at 230 W, drawing R600a refrigerant at -21 to -18°C. Check the cabinet dimensions and doorway access against your space before delivery, allowing for the depth when positioned in a corner.
