Why this stainless lid chest freezer earns its place
The EL35SS is a chest freezer built for bulk frozen storage in a commercial kitchen or back-of-house store. It holds 323 litres gross and 279 litres of usable net volume, top-opening so you load and reach stacked stock from above. For a butcher, farm shop or restaurant it gives a solid frozen reserve for meat, bulk ingredients and prepped batches without taking up upright fridge space.
Day to day it runs at -23 to -16 °C on a mechanical thermostat, with a manual defrost cycle to clear ice build-up. Drawing 122 W and rated energy class C with an EEI of 28.6, it uses 481.8 kWh a year — about £120 a year at 25p/kWh. The cabinet is white with a stainless-steel lid and a white interior, so it wipes down easily.
Build-wise it measures 936 × 536 × 696 mm internally and ships packed at 1095 × 760 × 940 mm, weighing 54 kg net (58 kg gross). It is a more compact footprint than a full-width chest, so check the packed width against your delivery route and doorways. It runs from a standard 13A supply and is charged with eco-friendly R600a refrigerant (80 g), needing no special power provision.
