Why this chest freezer earns its place
The CD832 is a Foster chest freezer, built for commercial kitchens and food businesses that hold 331 litres of frozen stock in bulk. Top-loading and deep, it takes the overflow an upright can't — whole deliveries, portioned batches and long-hold stock — in one robust cabinet with fan-assist cooling.
As a chest, the cold sits low and stays put when the lid opens, so it holds temperature well and copes with heavy, infrequent access. It keeps stock at a steady -21 to -18 °C from a standard cabinet footprint, running at 230 W on 230 V with R600a refrigerant. A regular defrost cycle prevents ice buildup and keeps the cabinet efficient.
It's a floor-standing chest that measures 860 mm high, 1050 mm deep and 730 mm wide, and weighs 49 kg. Plan the siting before delivery to allow clearance above for the lid to open fully and airflow around the sides to shed heat.
