Why this stainless lid chest freezer earns its place
The Combisteel 7450.1135 is a chest freezer with a stainless steel lid, built for bulk frozen storage. Where uprights are made for picking through the day, a chest freezer is made for holding volume: a top-opening cabinet that holds 402 litres of frozen goods in one place. That suits operations that buy and freeze in quantity and want their frozen reserve out of the way of the main line.
The top-opening design is the point of a chest format. Cold air sits in the well rather than spilling out across the floor every time the lid is lifted, which is why chest freezers are a common choice for a store room or back-of-house corner. Holding below –18 °C with 72 mm insulation, it recovers temperature quickly after loading. The stainless steel lid stands up to the traffic of a working environment better than a painted top and wipes clean as part of a daily routine.
This model measures 1275 mm wide, 740 mm deep and 825 mm high, weighing 65 kg gross. A chest freezer needs floor space and clearance to open the lid fully, so plan the siting around both and check your doorway widths before ordering. Craven Cooling can advise on placement and delivery, and on whether a chest or upright format better fits how you work.
