Why this low temperature chest freezer earns its place
The TEFCOLD SE30-45 is a low-temperature chest freezer for back-of-house bulk frozen storage. Its temperature range runs from -45 to -5 °C, so it covers ordinary frozen holding and the colder work — fish, ice cream and stock that needs harder-than-usual freezing — in one white cabinet. With 330 litres gross and 323 litres net, it gives a kitchen or trade counter a deep well of frozen capacity that a stacked upright cannot match on price of space.
An electronic controller manages the temperature, cooling is static, and a rated 45 dB keeps it acceptable in a stores or prep area. Defrost is manual, so a periodic defrost belongs in the cleaning routine to keep ice build-up down and the cabinet efficient. It carries climate class 3, which means it wants a cooler, well-ventilated spot rather than a hot corner. On its rated 1879.8 kWh a year, at a 500 W input, that is about £470 a year at 25p/kWh.
The cabinet measures 1284 × 705 × 945 mm, with an 1120 × 440 × 705 mm internal well, and ships at 1350 × 710 × 990 mm packed. Allow floor space plus full clearance to lift the lid, and check the crated size against your access route. It runs off a standard 13 amp supply at 220-240V on R290 refrigerant with a 61 g charge, and at 71 kg net it is a manageable position for two.
