Why this walk-in fridge earns its place
The CRPF2727 is a walk-in chiller room for high-volume chilled storage. Its 2540 × 2540 × 2040 mm internal space is a room you walk into, so bulk deliveries, prepped stock and stacked cases sit in one controlled area rather than filling a wall of upright cabinets. It holds 0 to +8 °C, the working band for fresh produce, dairy, meat and prepared food held above freezing.
Cooling runs on R290, a natural hydrocarbon refrigerant, with a 170 g charge, and defrost is automatic hot-gas so ice is cleared without a manual routine. An electronic controller holds the set point and the unit draws 910 W. It is rated at 8541 kWh a year — about £2135 a year at 25p/kWh, before your own tariff, door traffic and ambient are counted. At 60 dB it runs at a plant-room noise level, so factor its siting into a working area.
Access is through a single hinged solid door measuring 700 mm wide and 1845 mm high, wide enough for trolleys and full trays. The room weighs 668 kg net (698 kg gross) and runs on a 220–240 V supply, finished white inside and out. Given the 2540 mm internal span, plan the build location and the route in for the panels before delivery.
