Why this walk-in fridge earns its place
The CRPF1830 is a large walk-in chiller room built for kitchens and food businesses that hold serious volume. With an internal footprint of 1640 × 2840 × 2040 mm (W×D×H), it gives a full standing-height cold room for bulk stock, prep and deliveries at safe chilled temperatures, freeing the counter and upright fridges to stay dedicated to daily service.
It holds a 0 to +8 °C band under an electronic controller, so the holding temperature is set and monitored rather than estimated. Defrost is automatic and uses hot gas, clearing the evaporator without a manual routine, and the refrigeration runs at 60 dB. Rated energy use is 7709 kWh a year, which works out at about £1927 a year at 25p/kWh.
The room is cooled by an R290 hydrocarbon system with a 150 g charge, drawing 905 W from a 220–240 V/50 Hz supply. Access is through a single hinged solid door measuring 700 mm wide by 1845 mm high — check that against your trolleys and delivery route. This is a substantial unit at 605 kg net and 635 kg gross, so plan the floor and install access accordingly.
