Why this walk-in fridge earns its place
The CRPF1818 is a walk-in chiller room for kitchens needing dedicated bulk chilled storage without the footprint of the larger rooms. It holds a steady 0 to +8 °C across an internal space of 1640 × 1640 × 2040 mm (W×D×H) — enough for deliveries, prep trays and case stock kept off the upright fridges. The single hinged solid door is 700 mm wide and 1845 mm high, and both internal and external finishes are white for easy daily wipe-down.
In use the room is held on its band by an electronic controller, with automatic hot-gas defrost clearing the evaporator so there is no manual defrost routine. It runs at 60 dB on a 220-240 V/50 Hz supply, drawing 860 W. Cooling comes from a self-contained R290 monoblock with a 130 g charge, so there is no remote condensing unit to install. Energy use is rated at 6833 kWh a year, about £1708 a year at 25p/kWh depending on tariff, ambient and door traffic.
For siting, plan around the weight and access: the room is 445 kg net and 475 kg gross, so floor loading and the delivery route both need checking. The 700 mm door width sets the limit for wheeling in loaded trolleys and gastronorm racks, so measure your fullest trolley against it. The R290 circuit and 860 W draw run off a standard 220-240 V/50 Hz supply.
