Why this walk-in fridge earns its place
The TEFCOLD CRPF1224 is a walk-in chiller room that turns a corner of the back of house into cold storage for whole cases, trays and bulk stock a reach-in cabinet cannot take. Internally it measures 1040 × 2240 × 2040 mm (W×D×H), giving floor-standing room for racking and mobile trolleys, entered through a single hinged solid door 580 mm wide and 1845 mm high.
It holds a chilled band of 0 to +8 °C under electronic control, with automatic hot-gas defrost that clears the evaporator quickly to keep the room stable through busy service. Rated energy use is 6,545 kWh a year, about £1,636 a year at 25p/kWh, from an 830 W system. Running noise is rated at 60 dB, so plan the condenser position with staff working areas in mind.
The panels are finished white inside and out and the assembled room weighs 300 kg. It runs on 220-240 V, 50 Hz and uses R290 refrigerant with a 130 g charge — a low-GWP hydrocarbon. The internal dimensions are the figures to plan racking around; confirm the delivery route and the space for the door swing before installation.
