The Polar U-Series DS487-CWH is a white integral walk-in cold room, built to a 2.1 x 1.5m footprint with a 5303-litre capacity. It gives back-of-house a single chilled store to walk into and work from at +2 to +5°C, keeping fresh and prepped stock in one place instead of across a bank of upright cabinets.
Day to day it runs as walk-in chilled holding: product goes in on shelving, stays organised by line, and stays reachable through service without opening a row of cabinet doors. One room makes stock rotation, picking and daily checks simpler. The 80mm insulation keeps the temperature stable even when the kitchen is running hard around it.
As an integral room, the refrigeration is built into the unit rather than run from separate remote plant, so it installs as a self-contained cold room weighing 425kg.
