Why this walk-in freezer earns its place
The TEFCOLD CRNF1218 is a self-contained walk-in freezer room built for back-of-house frozen storage. It holds a -20 to -10 °C band across a 960 × 1560 × 1960 mm internal chamber, giving a kitchen a dedicated frozen store for bulk stock, portioned prep and deliveries instead of stacking upright freezers. The single hinged solid door gives a 580 mm wide by 1765 mm high aperture for loading trolleys and trays.
Day to day it runs on an electronic controller with automatic hot-gas defrost, so the chamber clears frost without a manual routine and stays inside its frozen band. Cooling uses R290 refrigerant with a 150 g charge and draws 1100 W, and the unit is rated at 60 dB. Against a verified 8208 kWh a year, running cost works out at about £2052 a year at 25p/kWh.
The room measures 1200 × 1800 × 2200 mm externally, so plan the standing footprint and the 2200 mm ceiling height before delivery. It arrives packed at 1350 × 2200 × 2400 mm and weighs 390 kg gross, 360 kg net, so factor access and lifting into the install. Electrical supply is a 13-amp, 220-240 V/50 Hz connection.
