Why this double door upright fridge earns its place
The RTC1760X1 is a stainless-steel roll-through chiller built for high-throughput kitchens and bakeries that move stock at volume rather than shelf by shelf. It offers 2070 litres of gross capacity (832 litres usable) behind four hinged solid doors, holding a chilled band of +2 to +10 °C. Interior and exterior are SS304 stainless steel for a hygienic, wipe-down finish that stands up to a busy back-of-house.
In use, ventilated cooling circulates chilled air across the loaded cabinet for an even temperature, and automatic off-cycle defrost keeps the coil clear without a separate heater cycle. It is rated to climate class 5, so it holds its band in warm kitchen conditions. Running noise is 52 dB, and at 2299.5 kWh a year it costs about £575 a year at 25p/kWh to run — actual figures move with tariff, ambient and door traffic.
Externally the cabinet measures 1760 × 1082 × 2201 mm (W×D×H) and weighs 276 kg net (332 kg gross); it ships packed at 1785 × 1120 × 2350 mm, so check the delivery route and lift in advance. The four doors open onto an internal 1600 × 906 × 1810 mm space. It runs on a 220-240V 50Hz supply and uses R290, a low-GWP hydrocarbon refrigerant, with a 150 g charge.
