Why this fresh meat display fridge earns its place
The SOCA18790B is a flat-glass serve-over counter with a 1.77 m² display area finished in black RAL 9005, giving fresh food a high-contrast backdrop that makes colours read clearly across the counter. The low flat-glass front is built for face-to-face service, so an assistant works the stock from behind while customers see the full spread — a working counter for fresh meat, fish and chilled produce rather than a self-select cabinet.
Cooling is ventilated, holding a tight 0 to +4 °C band with automatic electric defrost and an electronic controller to keep the temperature steady through service. It is rated to climate class 3 and runs at a measured 59 dB. On energy it sits in class E, drawing 2738 kWh a year — about £685 a year at 25p/kWh — with a measured energy efficiency index of 63.8%.
Internally the display bed measures 1875 × 900 × 545 mm (W×D×H), and the counter ships on a 2100 × 1250 × 1400 mm pallet, so check the delivery route and doorway against the crate before it arrives. It is heavy at 310 kg gross, 250 kg net, runs from a standard 220-240 V/50 Hz supply, draws 480 W, and uses 150 g of R290 refrigerant.
