Why this flat glass serve over fridge earns its place
The Oscar 1.5 is the compact end of Combisteel's flat-glass serve-over range — a 1584mm-wide counter sized for delis, sandwich bars and butchers who need real display without needing 2.5 metres of counter to get it. The flat glass front keeps the sightline into the case clean and upright, and it's easy to wipe down after a busy service.
What sets the Oscar apart is a pair of back doors, each 500 × 240mm, built into the rear of the cabinet. That means staff can top up stock from behind the counter mid-service without leaning across the front glass or disturbing the display — a small detail that matters a lot once you're restocking during a lunchtime rush.
Running 2°C to +10°C, it holds fresh deli meats and cheese at the colder end through to prepared salads and softer chilled lines that don't need quite such a hard chill. At 815mm deep and 1280mm tall it sits at comfortable serve-over height, and at 135kg gross it's manageable to site and reposition compared with the larger units in the range. It runs on a standard 230V supply, so it goes straight onto a normal socket without special wiring.
