Why this salad bar earns its place
The KCMDL4HT sits in CED's Kubus drop-in range and brings a four-tier multideck format to the counter. Instead of a single flat well it stacks chilled product across four tiers, so a short run of counter carries far more facings. As an assisted-service display it is built for setups where staff help customers select and serve, which suits deli counters, forecourt food-to-go and farm-shop chillers. It holds 4 gastronorm (1/1) displays, giving you 1525 mm of linear counter frontage.
Through the trading day it holds tiered chilled stock on show while staff work the counter, restocking and rotating from the service side at −1 to +5°C. The multideck layout keeps product visible at eye level and above, so customers can see the full range without opening a door, while service stays with your team. It runs on fan-assist cooling with R290 refrigerant — an environmental standard that's kinder to the atmosphere than older gases.
It is a drop-in unit, designed to be recessed into a bespoke counter or island rather than stood on the floor, so the surrounding joinery is cut and built to take it. The external dimensions are 1525 mm wide, 700 mm deep and 784 mm tall, and it weighs 175 kg gross, so plan delivery and access accordingly. The full cut-out, services and electrical clearances for this model are set out in the specification, and our team can confirm what your counter build needs before you order. At 63.8 dB(A), the cooling unit is reasonably quiet for a front-of-house counter.
