Why this multideck earns its place
The CW662 is the slimline drop-in multideck in CED's Designline range, set up for self-service so customers select chilled stock directly from the open front. It spans 900 mm wide and holds 228.6 litres across three tiered shelves, keeping the footprint narrow while giving you real display to work with — a way to extend open chilled merchandising along a run without a deep, bulky cabinet. Self-service suits pre-packed and grab-and-go chilled lines where you want stock in front of the customer and off the serving staff's hands.
Day to day it runs as an open-front chilled display at -1 to +5°C: product faces the customer on the decks, the front stays open for self-selection, and the cabinet holds the chill through trading using R290 refrigerant (GWP 3, lower global-warming-potential) with fan-assist cooling. It is a chilled refrigerated display rather than a freezer, so it is built for fresh chilled lines, not frozen stock. The noise level runs at 71 dB(A), which suits a busy retail floor without intrusive sound.
As a drop-in unit it is designed to be built into counter or gondola joinery rather than stood on its own — the cabinet weighs 190 kg and runs from 230V mains (1700 W) — so plan the aperture and the electrical supply into the run from the start. Our team can confirm the cabinet suits your run and your supply before you order, so nothing has to be reworked on site. The unit carries a 1-year warranty on parts and labour from commissioning.
