Why this multideck earns its place
The Designline CW659 is a slimline, low-height drop-in multideck built for self-service merchandising. At 600mm wide and 1467mm tall with just 750mm of depth, it slides into a counter run and presents chilled stock in front of customers across three tiers, so grab-and-go and food-to-go lines sell themselves rather than sitting behind a closed door. Because it is a drop-in unit, it merchandises within a counter run or fixture instead of standing alone as a cabinet, holding 247 litres of display space in a narrow footprint.
Day to day, an open-front multideck relies on a clear, even flow of chilled air across the display, so stock has to be kept faced to the load line without overfilling. Blocking the shelf returns or the air path is the usual cause of warm spots, so loading discipline and a regular wipe-down of the intakes keep the display reading full and holding temperature. The R290 refrigerant keeps the chill efficient across the open shelves, and the cabinet weighs 145 kg when installed.
The drop-in design makes installation as much a fitting job as an electrical one. The aperture, the plinth and the services need to be planned before the surrounding joinery is built, and the cabinet connects to 230V single-phase at 1470W. Plan the position around the display run so the low-height, slimline profile sits cleanly within the fixture. Speak to our team early if you want the fit checked against your layout.
