Why this under counter glass door fridge earns its place
The Tefcold BC85 is a compact under-counter glass-door merchandiser for chilled impulse lines. A single curved glass door and three white wire shelves display 92 litres of gross volume (85 litres net), putting cold drinks and snacks in view at the point of sale. The white exterior and white ABS interior keep it neat on a counter or under a bar.
It holds a +2 to +10 °C band with automatic defrost, set on a mechanical controller. It uses R600a refrigerant with a 28 g charge and runs at 45 dB, and carries climate class 4, rated for standard ambient trading conditions. At energy class C it draws just 306 kWh a year — about £77 a year at 25p/kWh.
The interior load space measures 410 mm wide, 415 mm deep and 630 mm tall, and the unit ships boxed at 570 × 610 × 810 mm, so check your counter space and access route against that figure. It runs from a standard 13-amp socket, draws 165 W, and weighs 38 kg gross, 33 kg net — light enough to lift into place.
