Why this flat glass cake display fridge earns its place
The TEFCOLD LPD1200F is a flat-glass chilled display cabinet built to merchandise cakes and patisserie. Two glass shelves plus the base give a 1.85 m² display area behind flat glass, and two sliding glass doors mean staff can serve from behind without disturbing a customer-facing front. The stainless steel and glass build keeps the focus on the product on show.
It holds a +2 to +8 °C band with automatic off-cycle defrost and an electronic controller, using R290 refrigerant to keep gateaux, tarts and desserts at a safe serving temperature all day. It carries a D energy rating and draws 580 W; rated at 4,062.5 kWh a year, it costs about £1,016 a year at 25p/kWh. Its climate class 3 rating covers ambient conditions up to that class.
The cabinet measures 1,205 × 745 × 1,209 mm (W×D×H) and gives 191 litres net from a 377-litre gross volume, with internal space of 1,140 × 510 × 670 mm. It is a heavy unit at 206 kg net, 255 kg as delivered in 1,260 × 800 × 1,320 mm packing, so measure doorways and plan the route in. It runs on 220-240 V and a standard 13-amp supply with a 130 g R290 charge.
